I decided to do a 31 day challenge view website.  I don't usually do these and if I do, I certainly don't advertise it.  However, this time around, I did.  I posted on Facebook that I am doing the challenge put out by Paul Taubman and Danni Ackerman to blog for 31 days.

So, this is the first of the challenge.

Here is the definition I found on Google:

  1. the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc.
    "the company's commitment to quality"
  2. an engagement or obligation that restricts freedom of action.
    "business commitments"

Sometimes when I make a commitment, I feel like it is more of #2, an obligation that restricts freedom...not sure why, but the word commitment does feel confining.

However, when you really think about it, commitment is a really good thing.  It causes you to be constant in something or to something or someone.  To be committed to your business, for example, means you will do whatever you can to see it to success.  Thus, blogging for 31 days!

What have you committed to?  Do you always keep your commitments?

One of the things I think back on my life and wish I had been more committed to is relationships.  When I was younger, I did not value relationships like I do now and that is something you cannot get back.

But, you can redeem yourself.  I am committed now to being the best parent, grandparent, friend, sibling and daughter I can be!  I can't go back but I can certainly improve my present and future.

How about you?

Care to share how your are committing to living your highest life?

I know you are - I believe in you!
