Yesterday, I shared with you how feelings affect your habits - the good, the bad, the ugly. We talked about writing down your vision and goals so you are clear on where you are going. This minimizes the ability for your feelings to take over.
Now that you have a plan of action you need to form the habits to achieve your goals. This can include learning how to put money aside weekly. Or it might involve taking a night class so you can get accepted to college or learn to dance.
As you start doing these things repeatedly they will become part of your daily routine, and will form a habit. Before you know it you will be saving regularly without thinking twice.
If you attempt to make these changes and find yourself falling back; this usually happens because your mindset is not positive. You may think that you will never get married or learn to dance or that you will still feel the same as you do now. If you can get past these negative feelings and turn them into positive ones, your chances of success will improve.
Start thinking about how great you will feel when you walk down that aisle or do that tango flawlessly.
So if you aren't that happy with your current life, change it! Make the decision that you will begin again, anew with a clear vision of what you want to do and how you are going to get there. Share this with friends you can trust; those who will keep it to themselves. Start working on changing the way you feel about yourself, and about others. This small change of mind can lead to huge improvements in your life.
As I keep telling you - I know you can do it; I believe in you!
